The main goal of this challenge is the transition to a circular economy, where waste is minimized and resource reuse is maximized. This aims to achieve sustainable economic growth, reduce the ecological footprint of human activity, and ensure a sustainable future for future generations.
At Naeco, we are conscious of this. How do we do it? Through the creation of logistical solutions from plastic waste and the reintroduction of our products when they reach the end of their lifespan, based on a certified Zero Waste production process.
In this sense, reusing plastic waste and reducing the use of other natural resources are key points to achieve the objectives of the Sustainability 2050 Challenge. We understand that the circular economy involves a paradigm shift and that this transformation will also generate resistance, but we must overcome them to meet our expectations of a sustainable society. We are committed to the circular economy
We can summarize the goal of the circular economy as minimizing waste generation and maximizing the use of available resources. This is the productive model that Naeco has chosen to deliver logistics solutions that are 100% responsible for the environment.
Hence comes our promotion of reuse, repair, recycling, and recovery of existing materials and products. Together, we will avoid the extraction of new natural resources and reduce the volume of waste that we send to landfills minute by minute, never to be used again.
The Sustainability 2050 Challenge precisely advocates for the promotion of the circular economy and the reuse of plastic waste, which it considers fundamental for achieving established objectives, such as conserving resources that have not yet been exploited.
At Naeco, we are committed to practices that promote the circular economy and, therefore, can contribute to the reuse of plastic waste:
- Designing durable and adaptable products that allow for their reuse in different applications and sectors.
- We offer our customers a buyback system for products at the end of their lifespan, known as Naeco Rewind. Our customers recover part of the initial investment, and at Naeco, we promote the recycling of these products, thus avoiding the generation of new waste.
- We also leave a positive footprint through the Naeco Reforest program, which involves planting forests to reduce CO2 emissions.
- We also invest in innovation to maximize the resources derived from the circular economy. An example of this is our advanced waste processing and separation system, which helps us recover a higher percentage of raw materials and thus create more new products.
