Naeco updates the information on its eco-label to comply with the requirements of Law 7/2022 on waste and contaminated soils.

Law 7/2022, which came into effect on 1 January, establishes a special tax on non-reusable plastic packaging.

On 1st January 2023, Law 7/2022 on waste and contaminated soils became effective, which establishes a special tax for plastic packaging that is considered non-reusable. This law considers non-reusable packaging to be "packaging that has not been conceived, designed and marketed for multiple circuits or rotations throughout its life cycle or to be refilled for the same purpose for which it was designed".

Naeco, which had been a pioneer in launching a product ecolabel with all the sustainable information, has updated it to comply with Law 7/2022. In this way, the eco-label offers its customers not only information on sustainability, but also lets them know whether the product they are buying is exempt from the plastic tax or not.

All Naeco products that have been designed to be reused are identified by the reusable icon. Along with this icon, another icon is included which indicates whether the material used in the manufacture of the product is recycled and in what percentage. Therefore, customers will have the information available at all times and will know if the product they are purchasing is exempt from the tax.

This update is a further step by Naeco to offer its customers accurate information that is in line with market needs and current regulations. In recent years it has focused its efforts on offering highly sustainable recycled materials that are 100% recyclable at the end of their useful life. But not only that, it has also been able to develop its own product information that is unique in the market, so that the customer can make the most of it in their logistical circuits.
