Naeco Fibers, a new division of the Naeco Group driving the circular economy.

The new company Naeco Fibers, with its plant located in Asturias, will manufacture 100% recycled polyester fiber from PET bottle waste.

Naeco Group aims to lead the development of sustainable solutions that promote the circular economy and address the demands of industry and society.

Alongside its existing divisions, Naeco Packaging (manufacturer of 100% recycled and/or recyclable pallets, boxes, and containers) and Naeco Recycling (manufacturer of high-value 100% recycled granules), Naeco Fibers joins the group, specializing in transforming PET waste (bottles, trays, textiles, etc.) into recycled polyester fiber.

This new division arises from the alliance between the Spanish company Naeco and the Korean company Mecen IPC, and will be based in a new plant in Asturias. Mecen brings its extensive experience in producing recycled staple polyester fibers, while Naeco continues its commitment to integral processes from waste to the final product. The partnership combines know-how, resources, and expertise to deliver a sustainable and locally-produced product. The new facilities will transform PET waste into innovative, eco-friendly recycled polyester staple fibers.

Naeco Fibers, leveraging its partners' expertise in converting waste into resources, promises to revolutionize the recycled polyester fiber industry with a product range tailored to its customers' needs.

The new Asturian company offers a catalog of three different product lines: solid fiber, hollow fiber, and conjugated hollow fiber.

Additionally, it has the capability to produce fibers with various finishes and/or treatments for the most demanding industries. Its fibers are intended for applications such as automotive, geotextiles, textiles, construction, hygiene, healthcare, and filtration systems.

Currently, there is a growing demand in the European polyester fiber market for fibers of recycled origin. This is due to consumers valuing industries that prioritize sustainable raw materials, the need to reduce the carbon footprint in production processes, and the overall goal of building a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly world. For every ton of recycled polyester fiber produced at Naeco Fibers, replacing virgin polyester, consumers can avoid up to 70% fewer CO2 emissions, equating to approximately 2.5 fewer tons of carbon dioxide per ton supplied.

In this regard, Naeco Fibers promises to become an indispensable ally for these industries, manufacturing 100% recycled polyester fibers, made in Spain, and contributing to a more sustainable planet.
