Retail Sector

Plastic logistics solutions improve the visual impact as well as the purchasing experience at the point of sale, contributing to increased product sale.

The Retail sector is one of the main driving forces behind any economy, and one of the largest consumers of logistic solutions, which transport different consumer goods along the entire supply chain. In recent years, logistics has become increasingly professionalised, and today it is one of the most important differentiating factors among the different sector players.

The Retail sector is one of the main driving forces behind any economy, and one of the largest consumers of logistic solutions, which transport different consumer goods along the entire supply chain. In recent years, logistics has become increasingly professionalised, and today it is one of the most important differentiating factors among the different sector players.

Retail is one of the most demanding sectors in terms of logistic operation efficiency, where the use of plastic logistic solutions (pallets, crates and containers) plays a leading role. These elements strengthen two anticipated advantages in the logistic operations of the retail sector: sustainability and enhancing reverse logistics.

Having analysed the efficiencies and advantages, increasing numbers of companies have started to substitute traditional logistics elements for new, plastic solutions.

Plastic Pallets for the retail sector

One of the applications in which plastic pallets have demonstrated their huge potential, is in transporting high-rotation consumer goods which use so-called display pallets, which correspond to medium and quarter formats (800x600 and 600x400 mm). Naeco is one of the largest manufactures of half pallets on an international level, with different success stories that highlight the advantages of our solutions

Pallet boxes for the retail sector
"Naeco is one of the largest manufactures of half pallets on an international level."

Our EXPERT line half-pallets can currently be found in a multitude of sector companies, transporting consumer goods such as milk, water, detergents or oil, among others, from the producer to the points of sale. They are available under the Pool model. By using the same equipment throughout the entire supply chain, the advantages are shared by the different players.

These half pallets comply with the 3Rs philosophy:

  • Reuse: being repairable, plastic pallets can be used for longer in the logistics circuit. In the event of breakage, only the damaged component requires replacing for a new one, keeping the rest of the pallet intact.
  • Reduce: as they can be repaired, the number of replacements is reduced. Their robust nature also allows for more product to be transported in the same pallet, reducing the number of journeys and resources needed.
  • Recycle: these pallets are produced from 100% recycled plastic and are recyclable at the end of their useful life, making them the most sustainable solution on the market.

The main advantages of our EXPERT PRO 0806-O3 plastic half pallets are:

  • They are the ideal solution for the shelf. Thanks to their measurements, they can reduce costs and increase sales, allowing more brands to be positioned on the same shelf.
  • They give greater visual impact to the goods they contain.
  • Thanks to their repairable skates, the product life cycle is increased without the need for machinery or qualified personnel.
  • Their versatility makes this model suitable for the entire range of products and uses, regardless of the sector.

Moreover, increasing numbers of distributors already use plastic pallets for their picking activities, creating a closed circuit between the distribution centres and stores. There, our SMART 1208-O3 plastic pallets from the MEDIUM range help reduce logistics costs for each movement, proving to be the ideal option.

Our SMART line pallets are nestable without losing functionality, allowing for important savings in reverse logistics from the store to the distribution centres, whilst helping reduce the space needed in back rooms when storing empty pallets.
